At the head and heart of every good and needed organization, there are philanthropists who lend strength, character, purpose and longevity to its endeavors. In Jackson and George counties, these outstanding leaders exhibit their belief in giving back to the community by annually joining the Old Hickory Club and investing in the communities’ most precious resource – our people.

The Old Hickory Leadership Club is an honorary organization recognizing individuals who have made substantial personal monetary donations to the United Way for Jackson & George Counties. The Leadership Club’s purpose is to provide yet another opportunity for people in our community to demonstrate their capacity to care about improving the quality of life in Jackson and George counties.

Any individual or couple who donates $1,000 or more annually to UWJGC qualifies for membership in the Old Hickory Leadership Club. There are five membership levels including:

  • Bronze ($1,000 – $1,499)
  • Silver ($1,500 – $2,499)
  • Gold ($2,500 – $4,999)
  • Platinum ($5,000 – $9,999)
  • Alexis de Tocqueville ($10,000 and up)

Membership in this group is a statement of your personal commitment to United Way JGC and its efforts to build a more caring community. During the 2021 annual campaign, United Way JGC had 101 Old Hickory Leadership Givers, including 3 at the Alexis de Tocqueville level.
