Community Resources

United Way’s Community Resources Center bridges hope and community service for southeast Mississippi.  We can help connect you with the right agency to serve your needs.  

The Center maintains information about local human services agencies and coordinates a community-wide volunteer special event.  If you are in need of a referral or information regarding a United Way member agency, please call 228-762-8557 (1-800-762-8557 in George County) or 2-1-1 (Mississippi's information and referral call center.)

Local United Way Agencies

Community Resources administers the following programs and services:

Information and Referral – Assistance in finding a solution through one of UWJGC’s member agencies. Please call one of the above numbers for help.

Workforce Assistance – Assistance to full-time employed persons with temporary emergency needs. This program does not supplement any other available resources and adheres to specific guidelines.

Community Care Council – Brings area non-profit health and human services agencies together to work towards community-building and problem solving.
